I am currently a second-year Accounting student at Jackson Community College in Jackson, Michigan in pursuit of a bachelors degree from University of South Florida in Tampa. The study of meditation and its effects on education is a special topic to me. I chose this topic for the sole purpose of exploring anti-medication solutions to help improve the symptoms of ADHD/ADD in children in primary education. I am a mother of an almost 3-year old little girl with a prevalence of ADD in my family. Having been through the process of medications and therapy, I found that the medications were only a band-aid to the disorder. Although this is a project for my English Composition II class, I hope to find valuable information, making it available to others like myself.
